Mondadori, Italy's largest publishing house, asked me to work on the cover of this book. He gave me three directions: It was set in 1950s London, the main characters were three women, and there was an old bookstore involved

I started work by sending 4 proposals

They asked me for a color advance of three proposals

They chose the second one, on which I continued to advance.

And this is the final one I was going to deliver:

But, at the last moment, I was asked to start over and make an advance on an old proposal, that of the front bookcase.

After some corrections, we came up with the right working and correct image for this magnificent book!
